Visentini NB Hull 226
As after delivery of their RoRo-Pax in April 2011, named “Cartour Epsilon”, the last of the very successful series of 24 RoRo-Pax units built in the last 15 years, the Visentini shipyard have studied a new kind of modern RoRo cargo ship designed for low consumption and for a green ship concept to keep up in the world of RoRo and RoRo- Passenger Vessels as required both by the market and the new rules.
After a careful study, in co-operation with their brokers Enrico Scolaro Shipbrokers S.r.l. , the Visentini group decided to invest in this project and then the yard started building in autumn 2012 the first unit, Hull N. 226, on the account of one of their own companies.
The Hull N. 226 has now been successfully committed for sale, through Enrico Scolaro Shipbrokers S.r.l. , to a first class Buyer, Nordana Line SA, Denmark.
The Vessel will be completed, also in accordance with some features required by Nordana, as a Multipurpose RoRo cargo vessel, of 178.80 m. length overall and 26.20 m. beam, 2,546 lane meters of Ro-Ro cargo, 10,970 TDW, 2 x 40 tons deck cranes, hoistable car deck, and is expected to be ready for delivery in May 2014.
The yard is therefore now thinking about the future and the next new project to develop, always with the commercial advise of Enrico Scolaro Shipbrokers S.r.l..
